2. Window & Door Replacements
Replacing existing windows or doors with the same size units is a classic express permit project. Energy-efficient replacement windows of identical dimensions qualify easily. Enlarging an opening is a different story � that requires a regular permit.
3. Roofing & Re-roofing
Re-roofing projects (overlaying or replacing existing roofing material) typically qualify for express permits. Full tear-off and replacement with the same roofing type qualifies, while adding new roof structures usually doesn't.
4. HVAC Replacements

5. Electrical Panel Upgrades (Same Amperage)
Replacing an electrical panel with the same amperage rating qualifies for express. Upgrading from 100A to 200A service is a different matter � that requires a regular permit and plan check.
6. Solar Panel Installations (<10 kW)

7. Earthquake Retrofit (Soft-Story)
